What is African Mango Extract?

African Mango Extract is a high-quality extract from the seeds of a mango-like fruit that grows on the tropical Irvingia gabonensis tree. Unlike similar supplements on the market, Vitacost® African Mango Extract features a patented, proprietary Irvingia gabonensis extract, Irvingia IGOB1031®, which is currently the only African mango extract that’s been officially tested in clinical trials.

African mango (Irvingia gabonensis) grows in tropical forest regions of Africa and southeast Asia, and is also cultivated by farmers. Its fruit is similar to a mango, with juicy flesh and a large inner seed. The active compounds in Vitacost African Mango extract are derived from the fruit seed.

As a dietary supplement, take 1 capsule with food twice daily or as directed by a healthcare professional.
