What is Silica from Horsetail Extract?

Silica from Horsetail Extract is a high-quality extract of horsetail herb, standardized to the active ingredient silica (an organic form of the mineral silicon). Silica is the primary source of silicon in the diet. It’s found in plant-derived foods such as cereals, rice and grasses. Scientists believe the health-promoting properties of horsetail are due to its silica content.

Horsetail (Equisetum arvense), is a perennial, non-flowering plant found throughout parts of Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America. It’s a descendant of huge, tree-like plants that thrived millions of years ago during the Paleozoic Era.

As a dietary supplement, take 1 tablet daily with food or as directed by a healthcare professional. 

Microcrystalline cellulose, maltodextrin, vegetable stearic acid, croscarmellose sodium, vegetable glycerin, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, silicon dioxide and vegetable magnesium stearate.

Free of: Milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, crustacean shellfish, fish, soy, gluten, titanium dioxide. 

Pregnant or lactating women, diabetics, hypoglycemics and people with known medical conditions (including kidney disorder) and/or taking drugs (including diuretics or nicotine replacement aids [for smoking cessation]) should consult with a licensed physician and/or pharmacist prior to taking this product. Excessive use of horsetail (which naturally contains a minute amount of nicotine, a central nervous system stimulant) may cause symptoms of nicotine overdose. Keep out of reach of children. 

Sealed with an outer shrink wrap film and an inner seal. Do not use if either seal is broken or missing. Keep dry and at room temperature (59º-86ºF [15º-30℃]).
